Ahyong Lee explores moments of disruption within fixed orders, narrative flows, and systems of meaning, seeking new rhythms of movement and connection within those cracks. Centered around moving images, her work deconstructs and recombines disparate elements-image, text, object, and sound—to create nonlinear rhythms and chance-based juxtapositions. Her recent practice expands from video collages into prints, sculptural forms, and spatial installations, experimenting with new modes of movement that emerge through interaction with space and environment. Ahyong Lee holds a First-Class Honours degree in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, and a Master’s degree in Cultural Mediation from the Graduate School of Communication and Arts at Yonsei University. She is currently based in Seoul.
